CIT Cork School of Music is delighted to announce that Kevin Jansson, piano student of Mary Beattie won first prize in the First edition of Jeune Chopin - International Youth Piano Competition, held in Martigny, Switzerland.
The Frederic Chopin Institute in Switzerland organized the first edition of the International Young Chopin Competition for young pianists in October 2018, in Martigny (Switzerland). This new international competition aims at discovering the music of Frédéric Chopin by young performers from all over the world to present themselves in a front of the greatest specialists of the Polish composer, including members of the jury of the renowned Frederic Chopin International Competition in Warsaw . This competition aims to become a bridge for preparation for the Polish competition. This competition has received patronage from the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw and Martha Argerich. https://jeunechopin.com
