Marian Crowley graduated from UCC with a BMus degree. She studied for a teaching diploma in singing with Margaret Dillon at Cork School of Music; and for a diploma in singing performance with Maeve Coughlan. Her musical training began with the Sisters of Mercy in her native South Tipperary, studying piano with Sr. Cecelia Beecher at Scoil Chriost Ri, Cahir.
Further studies followed in Masterclasses, including those taken with Jonathan Hinden, (Head Coach, Glyndebourne); renowned coach accompanists Paul Hamburger and Malcolm Martineau; specialists in contemporary vocal music - sopranos Jane Manning and Linda Hirst; as well as Joan Busby, (Director, Oxenfoord International Summer School); and conductor Simon Over.
Marian has been a lecturer in voice at CIT Cork School of Music since 1991.
