Congratulations to David McElroy, Rachael Masterson, Martha Campbell & Grace Coughlan - members of the Doolan Quartet who won first prize in the Vanbrugh Chamber Music Competition at Cork School of Music on Saturday last.  The Adjudicator for this competition was Gerald Peregrine, Cellist.  The Quartet performed a programme of Beethoven, Brahms & Janacek - this group is coached by Simon Aspell.

Second place went to Daire Sweeney, James Gibson, James Kelleher & Cormac Flynn, members of The Buffet of Clarinets and taught by Elizabeth Jones. They performed excerpts from The Magic Flute by Mozart, Birdwatching by Michael Henry & Alley Cat.

Well done to all the groups for participating in a lovely day of music-making.
