From large-scale symphony orchestras to dynamic jazz bands and intimate theatre groups, performing ensembles play an integral role in the student experience at MTU Cork School of Music.

Home to over a dozen groups across a wide variety of genres and disciplines, MTU Cork School of Music is proud of the breadth, quality and variety of its performing ensembles. As a university student, you will have the opportunity to become a member of, and perform with:

• Irish traditional music ensemble Bruach;
• chamber choir Coro;
• the Fleischmann Choir;
• the Jazz Big Band;
• Opera Platform;
• the Symphonic Wind Band; and
• the Symphony Orchestra.

Further opportunities may also exist to work alongside our Conservatoire Performing Ensembles:

• the CSM Children's Chorus;
• the Elementary and Intermediate Bands;
• the Intermediate Drama and Youth Theatre groups;
• the Preparatory, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Orchestras; and
• the Youth Jazz Ensemble.
